The way of the monk is steeped in harnessing a balance between both mind and body. Not only do they invest years in honing their fighting techniques, but they seek to achieve enlightenment from the world around them. If you seek for a class drenched in gold and riches then look elsewhere. For their dedication to perfection of the body and soul comes first over material possessions, and most temples make the most what meager rations they have to share.
In regards to fighting prowess the monk is a standalone wonder, using their feet and fists with amazing discipline in order to defeat their enemies. By harnessing and manipulating their chi, a monk is able to put extra power behind their offensive maneuvers. But their chi can also be rerouted in order to support allies who might be in trouble as well.
Monks come from all walks of life, but mainly hail from the regions of Limberry and Zeltennia where the temples predominantly reside.
MAIN SKILLS
All skills may be performed once per character level, per thread, unless otherwise notated.
- Spin Fist: A spinning punch technique that strikes all entities surrounding the monk.
- Repeating Fist: Character punches target repeatedly with their fists, creating a chance to stun and disorient the target.
- Wave Fist: Forces a wave of chi to strike an opponent from 5 yards away.
- Earth Slash: The monk forces their chi into the ground, causing it to spike upwards at anyone in a 3 yard line.
- Secret Fist: A pressure point skill that creates and releases a paralyzing toxin into the target’s blood that will slowly kill them if not treated. This toxin will heal the undead (necrotic) if struck by this skill. May only be used once per day. (Master class ONLY)
- Stigma Magic: A pressure point skill that has the ability to cleanse the body of poisons, mental instabilities, transformations and action constraints. May only be used three times per day.
- Chakra: A meditation skill that restores the monk of all physical and mental energy. This is a self-cast skill only. Monk must maintain an uninterrupted state of meditation for at least five posting rounds, or one hour. May only be used once per day. (Master class ONLY)
- Revive: Brings a character back to life if they've just recently fallen or have been knocked out. However, character will not be able to stand on their own, and will need help getting to safety. May be used once per day. (Master class ONLY)

OTHER SKILLS
- HP Restore: When character is knocked down to critical condition, a quick meditation brings their energy up just enough to possibly be able to try and retreat. May only be used once a day.
- Counter: When someone physically strikes the character, they may immediately counterattack with an increased 15% hit rate. May only be used three times in a battle. (Master class ONLY)
- Hamedo: The monk’s super heightened awareness permits them to sense and oncoming physical attack and guarantees them the ability to dodge or deflect the attack and then counter back with a physical strike. This skill ignores character level hit ratios and guarantees the deflection and subsequent strike back. May be used once per thread. (Master class ONLY)
- Martial Arts: Character practices special fighting techniques that puts more power behind their hand-to-hand combat skills. For master monks, this skill allows them to hone their abilities further and perform their Master Class Only skills one extra time than what is currently listed.
- Move-HP Up: The monk gains incremental amounts of physical energy as they take a stroll (meaning walking calmly. Not panicked, and not during battle).
