Skill Effects Rundown
This is the basis of how all the classification of skills will work while in battle (or utilizing for other purposes).
- Your character cannot automatically know the skills that another character has until they've shown them off or have been told to some extent.
- You may not stack the same benefit or ailment. However you may choose to accept (or must be ailed by) the stronger effect of the two. If both are the same then the second one has no effect.
- Benefits or ailments cannot be refreshed. They must first wear off before they can be applied again (if the skill permits).
- All offensive magic, physical strikes, and status effects are considered 'hits' or 'misses' based on the other player's judgment or the HIT CHART, unless the character is wearing an anti-charm of some sort, has a barrier of some kind cast on them, or finds a creative, yet realistic way of deflecting.
- Any and all types of speech skills that involve convincing others to do something against their better nature must be fully played out by the caster. The victim can choose to believe it or not based on personal judgement and the HIT CHART for reference. But keep in mind that your character should feel very inclined to working with that individual. If you have trouble deciding what or what not to believe, simply flip a coin or ask for advice with the administration / staff.
- Round up for anything that is uneven in numbering.
- The Reflect spell reflects any and all magic spells friend or foe. However, a spell can only be bounced off one Reflect spell. Therefore, in order to get a Cure spell to yourself, it's advised that you cast it upon another person with the Reflect spell, and it'll bounce back to you, healing you. Just be careful with offensive magic. Even if you have a Reflect spell, if the other person does too you'll still be hit by your own spell. The only exception to the double bounce-back is when Carbuncle is cast since the aura nullifies all magic energy in that active zone.
