As your character becomes more experienced in life, battle, politics, and skills, you'll want to complete an UPGRADE APPLICATION in order to move up in experience levels. It is up to the players to collect all of the proof and present to the staff that validate your experience and level increases. Once the Analyst reviews and concurs with the administrator then you be granted tokens that prove such merit has been achieved.
Here are some basic guidelines that pertain to each level, and the approximate age ranges that they usually apply to. Keep in mind that there are always exceptions to every rule, as we also need to consider their status and educational background. These are basic guidelines the administrator utilizes in order to classify your character application once completed and approved. Based on how the application is written, as well as the character's overall background, will determine certain exceptions if the character qualifies for them within substantial reasoning.
Non-Combatant
You're basically a citizen who is allowed one Master class skill set, and only play a role as a villager type (ex. Shopkeeper, Blacksmith, Doctor, etc). You don't battle (yet), and if you try, it's only to defend yourself. Against any trained warrior you will most likely lose unless the character is easily tricked into luring them to certain doom.
Approx. Age Range: 1 – 12 infants, toddlers, and children along with senior citizens 70 and up
Risk of Death: Very High
Skills: Only the Squire skill-set can be learned at this time.
Novice
You are new to what life has to offer, and are either low level due to lack of experience or lack of skill. Examples of this level are Squires or characters that were in the game, but whose class and heritage were of lower birth or never defined. These levels are allowed a Master class skill but are not yet allowed to learn a secondary class skill set.
Approx. Age Range: 13 – 16 early teens
Risk of Death: High
Skills: Master class may be selected with a couple of skills learned.
Journeyman
These are characters who've been training for a little while and finally have some battle experiences under their belts. Examples of this are people who have achieved their class (Archer, Geomancer, Knight, etc) and have at least half of their skills or more. They are beginning to consider what they should second study for more skills, and maybe have learned one skill already.
Approx. Age Range: 17 – 26 late teens, early 20’s
Risk of Death: Medium
Skills: Supplemental class may be selected and one skill learned.
Adept
This class level has almost mastered their main skills and is now working on their secondary class skills. They've had enough experience to be put in the front lines with some of the commanders for the major battles at hand if they haven’t become commanders already.
Approx. Age Range: 27 – 32 late 20’s, early 30’s
Risk of Death: Low
Skills: Half of the Master skills can be learned, while a couple of new Supplemental skills can be learned.
Expert
This class level has completely mastered all of their skills in their chosen profession, as well as picked up most, if not all, of their secondary skill set. It's now a matter of time before they perfect their finesse as they march into battle alongside their Commanders and even take charge of some of their own set of lower-leveled troops.
Approx. Age Range: 33 – 39 or late 30’s
Risk of Death: Very Low
Skills: Most of the Master skills can be learned, while half of the Supplemental skills can be learned.
Master
This class has mastered everything in both of their classes, and have now achieved great prestige in what they do. They have even attained the ability to master a special 'signature' skill that defines them and sets them apart from the rest of the warriors. They are most likely to be the commanders of elite forces on the battlefield, and/or are leaders of their own political devices.
Approx. Age Range: 40 and up
Risk of Death: Unlikely
Skills: All Master skills should already be learned, and all Supplemental skills can be learned at this time.
Divine
Very few characters fall under this category (the Holy Seraph Ultima would be considered in this level). You have transcended what mortals strive so hard to achieve. Though you are above mortality and considered Divine, you as a player are morally held fast from taking mundane actions such as battle. You coerce others to follow you, and you usually seduce the higher leveled characters to do your bidding for you.
Approx. Age Range: Varies
Risk of Death: Nearly Impossible
Skills: Both the Master and Supplemental skills are all learned.
