BASIC EXPECTATIONS
Welcome to Prayers of Heresy!
We are honored that you have decided to join us in our gaming exploits as we further advance the events of Ivalice after the War of the Lions. Listed below are the core rules and expectations that govern the boards and are expected of every member whether they are a newbie or an administrator. Please read thoroughly and if you have any questions you are more than welcome to PM, post, or converse with other players in the chat box for further assistance.
* All members of Prayers of Heresy must be 18 years of age or older to participate, and need to be appropriately fluent in English comprehension and writing.
* All members of Prayers of Heresy are expected to maintain an appropriate level of decorum which includes, but is not limited to: Appropriate use of language and images, responsible choices in conversation for both the forums and the chat box, respecting the staff and players at all times, willingness to compromise, willingness to participate, and reaching out to the appropriate individuals when a conflict arises. Personal religious and political views are to NEVER be discussed on Prayers of Heresy, and disciplinary action may be taken if those conversations incite fighting or disruption among players.
* Both the administration and the moderators have the right to edit, change, or instruct a player to modify their post if it doesn't make sense or doesn't comply within the guidelines of game play.
* Every conduct of misbehavior is treated differently depending upon the extremity of the situation.
* There might times when the game play has become unbalanced, or a loophole has been found in the system that is capable of being exploited or abused. In order to regain balance in the game the administration will have to alter certain game play elements that may affect characters in various ways. Amiable solutions that minimize any negative repercussions for the player-base will be attempted at all times but cannot be guaranteed. Forewarning will be given ahead of time in the announcements section to give the player-base a feasible notice and time for adjustment. It is the responsibility of the players to ensure they read up on any new compliance changes in order to stay informed.
* Please respect the fact that all administrative and staff decisions are final.
Please know that the administration and staff will do everything they can to keep the gaming environment positive and enjoyable for everyone. However, it is also the responsibility of the individual players to commit to that same level of positive behavior and open communication. Prayers of Heresy assumes that all players will conduct themselves in a mature and reasonable fashion. In the end, it is the player's choice to make this a good or bad experience for themselves. We will always try our best to accommodate new ideas or desires from various players, but understand that the administrator and its staff will always make decisions that favor the overall game's demands as opposed to an individual's expectations.
